Our initiatives

Turn OFF Easy Read Version

IMYD is a global movement created by us, youth with disabilities.

We have just started, but we are already working to lead, connect, and create change.

What we’ve done so far

  • We launched IMYD on June 1, 2024.
    Our first big meeting was held in Paris, France.
  • Youth from over 20 countries joined us.
    They came from four continents to help start the movement.

  • We held workshops and discussions.
    These focused on leadership, advocacy, and ways to create change.

  • We started building our global network.
    IMYD is connecting youth with disabilities from all over the world.

What we’re working on now

  • We are creating our Charter of Values.
    This will reflect the shared ideas and goals of all IMYD members.
  • We are expanding our network.
    We are including youth with disabilities from all regions.
  • We are preparing for elections.
    In May/June 2025, we will elect IMYD’s first Board of Directors.
